Tommy “Bam” Jackson, is the Creator and CEO of They Wanna See Me Dead, Inc. What started out as a mere
thought quickly became reality while watching the news and hearing the tragic stories of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Philando Castile, who were all murdered at the hands of police officers.
Saddened and angered by the unjustified killings and treatment of his Black American brothers and sisters the They Wanna See Me Dead movement began.Tommy was born on May 10, 1977, in Dallas,
Texas, in the neighborhood affectionately known by all as Joppy.Tommy was raised in a loving 2 parent home with 6 older siblings where education and hard work was heavily valued. Use to being the youngest of the family, it was no surprise that he spent a lot of time with a group of older friends, one being Elvon “Blow” Williams, who is still his best friend to this day.
Tommy attended St. Anthony Catholic School where he fell in love with numbers and became a math whiz. He attended St. Anthony until the 5th grade and transferred to the Wilmer-Hutchins Independent School District. Tommy attended Wilmer-Hutchins High School until the 11th grade before dropping out and becoming the neighborhood barber. His love for being a barber directed his path towards Texas Barber College. While attending Texas Barber College, he found a passion for something he loved more than being a barber, the world of drugs and weapons. Tommy became heavily involved in this world and never obtained his barber license.
This life choice resulted in him serving a 10-year federal prison sentence. Some people may think he deserved his sentence because of his lifestyle but what they don’t understand is Prison was Prayed for. Tommy firmly stands on his PRISON WAS PRAYED FOR stance believing that if you are a young black man in these streets "you better pray for prison" because death is the only other option.
